Overview:

Model-Based Engineering is one of the current trends in the Automotive Industry which covers all the aspects of the Product life cycle (PLC) from Concept to Production. Due to its End to End traceability aspect and ease of testing and validation from a System design specifications stage to the vehicle level testing (ViL) stage, it helps to track and manage issues(bugs) very quickly and efficiently throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC) which would cut down huge re-engineering costs. Some of the issues industries were having due to paper-based requirements translated to hand-code can be quickly traced in the model-based process in its initial development stage and generating a fine quality code for production (MISRA-C standard). The objective of this course is to empower Systems Engineer’s, Algorithm Engineer’s (Control Logics) and Test/Validation Engineer with best practices and techniques in Model-Based Development.

The training is conducted in a hands-on format focused on managing a program with classroom instruction as needed. A significant amount of time will be dedicated to various Model-Based practices in the industry so that the transition from training to the workplace is seamless.

Goals:

  • Gain Knowledge of Model-Based practices from design concept to production.
  • Able to confidently start their career with a clear understanding of industry jargon and process flow of product development.
  • Learn critical functions of the Product Engineer, Systems Engineer, Algorithm Engineer, and Test/Validation Engineer
    • What is Model-Based Design?
    • Understanding the model-based environment and basic examples (MATLAB/Simulink)
    • Working with DATA and Plots
    • Creating and simulating models for smart structures
    • Different Methods of modeling and Modelling Parameters
    • Analysis of Close loop and Open-loop control systems in models
    • Modelling Algorithm’s with various conditionally enabled requirements/Parameters
    • Different Structures and Libraries
    • Debugging the models
    • Confidence to appear for an interview and to perform well in the first Job

Target
Audience:

  • Engineers with Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial, and Automotive background/degree.
  • Professionals looking for career progression.

Duration:

  • 6 Weeks – Weekday evenings and Weekends (Working or Non-Working Professionals)
